Are you asking why the real device is symmetrical on both sides while the picture shows the right side is flatter than the left side?

Can you get a clearer top image of the device? I need to read the letters on the top to figure out what assembly site the device came from and reach out to them to verify.

The K at the end means this device was assembled in Malaysia. I'll see if I can reach out to someone from that site and verify if they applied a chamfer on both sides. The packaging team seems to suggest that with the drawing, the chamfer was originally intended for the left side but the assembly site may have chosen to do both.

My experience with reaching the assembly site is a bit mixed. It may take more than a week to confirm as my email gets passed around.

Hello,

The factory contact was able to verify the package for me.

So apparently we used to use a leadframe (called Hyde) that had a symmetrical packaging.

The Malaysian assembly site switches over to a different lead frame called SUHD which has an asymmetrical package that gets a chamfer after the plastic cures.

The leadframe you have is from 2024 which still uses the Hyde set up that is symmetrical. Newer TI devices from Malaysia will look like the datasheet dimensional drawings with a chamfer on pin 1 side.
