Hi Support team,

In my previous thread, the question about RAOFF compatibility was not answered.

I have old boards with DS99R106 or DS99R105 integrated and would like to use  DS90UR241 or DS90UR124 to link it.

What is the setting of pin RAOFF to be configured? DS90UR241 or DS90UR124 support 2E7 LSFR setting and it should not be the case for DS99R106/DS99R105.

    Hi Xiaowei,

    The DS99R106 or DS99R105 is in the process of being discontinued. According to the datasheet, the DS90UR241/124 has an addition randomizer feature compared to the C version. You may use a UR serializer and pair with a C deserializer by configuring the RAOFF=1 pin 12 on UR241. If you are pairing with the same UR devices RAOFF = 0.

    Hi Aaron,

    I would like to know if I can pair UR deserializer with DS99R105 by configuring RAOFF=1 because I have lot of boards with DS99R105 integrated. the 2 ref use FPD-LINK2 as LVDS.

    I suppose RAOFF=0 is not functional with this pairing because of the randomizer feature.

    Hi Xiaowei,

    The UR deserializer is backward compatible within the same family, but it is not backward compatible from the last generation.
