Can you please confirm if you are using the latest driver (Single_Driver_v2-5.exe) available at: http://focus.ti.com/docs/toolsw/folders/print/tusbwinvcp.html? What's your hyper terminal settings?

 I suggest using a loop-back connector configuration like the one shown in the next image:

I've been using this config with my TUSB3410 EVM when doing loop-back testing. Also, please let the TUSB3410 be installed and check/use that COM port in the hyperterm properties, so you will be able to use it a echo back characters.

Please let me know if you still see failures.

Yes i am using the same driver as you indicated .

I have tried both Xon/Xoff and hardware flow control. But in both the cases the data is trasnferring from serial port to usb  only and not from usb to serial port.

can you please tell me whether tusb3410 is DTE type OR DCE type?

Because i have doubt that i have made wrong connection between db-9 and tusb3410 pins.

So can you suggest me the perfect connection between them?

i want to ask a question that can we test TUSB3410 by given configuration OR only we can check that our serial port is working or not?

I think that I've already suggested using a loop-back connector on my previous post. Did you have a chance to take a look to your DB9 connections and see if it's correct? Please try first with a loop-back connector as suggested, and see if characters are echoed back in hyper-terminal.

which kind of testing would you like to perform to evaluate the TUSB3410?

first i want to transfer data between my laptop and pc .

so by saying "testing" means to check whether the data is transferring between serial port of my computer to the usb of my laptop via tusb3410 board in both direction or not?

because in the configuration you have given you have shown db-9 connection so i am little bit confused how to do connection with my tusb3410 board.

i have checked my serial port as per the loop back configuration given by you.

and it is working properly that means the characters are echoed back on the hyperterminal screen as i type on my keyboard.

so may i know the next step please .......

I am intending to have serial to usb and vice-versa communication between my pc and laptop. I intend to do this using the evaluation board of TUSB3410. The EVM board has been developed by me.

Moreover i am using MAX232(Level converter) instead of SN75LV4737A.

Whenever i use hyperterminal in Xon/Xoff mode data transfer from serial to usb does occur but the transfer in opposite direction doesn't occur.

In all other modes there is no transfer of data at all in any direction.

Please let me know if you need any more information.
