Would like to confirm the TSD36CDYFR device. Can this TVS diode be used in 1 Gpbs Ethernet application?

Hi Archie,

TSD36C will not be able to support 1 Gbps Ethernet as its capacitance is too high and could cause signal loss at these speeds.

I would recommend ESD801 instead. It operates at 36V just like TSD36C, but has a capacitance of 0.3pF which can easily support 1 Gbps signaling.
