DS90LV048A: What is the input voltage swing for this?

Tool/software:

I have a +/-200mV 20Mhz input signal that needs to be amplified to a single ended 1.2V or 3.3V rail. While the datasheet mentions 350mV TYP input voltage for this, I am not sure if it means 350mV differential swing or 700mV differential swing?
If this does not fit my use case, can you help suggest another product that can support my use case?

The specified differential input thresholds are −100 mV and 0 mV, so this will work.

You could also use a fast comparator like the TLV3511.

Hi Shreyas,

Clemens is right. Once the differential voltage increases past 0 mV, the single ended output will be driven high. Once the differential voltage decreases past -100 mV, the single ended output will be driven low.

Two other things to keep in mind:

1.) Make sure you are terminating the input with 100Ohms and that your signal source has enough current to produce the proper differential voltage across that resistor. This will minimize any signal reflections.

2.) Make sure your input signal common mode voltage is low enough to where neither input pin is exceeding 3V with respect to ground (single ended).

HI Clemens, I am looking into the TL3511 and want to evaluate this for our use-case in lab. However, when I select the EVM (TLV3601EVM) it does not give me an option to order the TLV3511-populated EVM. Can you help guide me on this?
