DP83822I: Advantages of PHY with current-mode line drivers

Current mode driver is known to give better signal integrity and less impact from process/voltage/temperature. But, current mode driver has more static power consumption.

I have a few questions.

1)Does "process" mean the operation of the PHY itself?

2)I would like to know the difference in "static power consumption" numerically.
　How should I calculate it?
　I would like to compare the differences between the circuit in Figure 9-2 for the SNLS505G and the circuit in Figure 9-2 for the SNLS783.
　The DP83822I operates at VDDIO=1.8V, AVD=1.8V.
　The DP83826AI operates at VDDIO=1.8V, AVD=3.3V.

3)In Figure 9-2 of the SNLS505G, even if VDDIO=1.8V and AVD=1.8V, does the 49.9Ω pull-up voltage need to be 3.3V?
　Or does it need to be connected to AVD?

1. By process, I mean the PHY's manufacturing process. 
2. You can refer to the power consumption data in the respective datasheets. 
3. Please connect to AVD.
