DP83822I: Schematic Review for RMII Master (Leader) Mode

Part Number: DP83822I

Subject: DP83822: Schematic Review for RMII Master (Leader) Mode, 50-MHz Clock Output on RX_D3, and LED Mode 2

Hello TI Team,

I am designing an Ethernet interface using the DP83822 Ethernet PHY connected to an STM32H7 microcontroller through RMII.

I have prepared the schematic and would appreciate your assistance in reviewing it to ensure that the connections and hardware configuration are correct.

My required configuration is as follows:

  1. RMII Master Mode: The DP83822 should operate in RMII Master Mode.

  2. 50-MHz Clock Output: The PHY should generate and provide a 50-MHz reference clock to the STM32H7 microcontroller through the RX_D3 pin.

  3. LED Configuration: LEDs should be configured to operate in Mode 2.

Could you please review the attached schematic and confirm the following?

  1. Are the hardware strap resistor connections and values correct for the required RMII Master Mode configuration?

  2. Is the RX_D3 pin correctly configured to provide a 50-MHz reference clock to the STM32H7?

  3. Is the LED configuration correct for Mode 2?

  4. Are the power supply, reset, crystal/clock, and other required connections implemented correctly?

  5. Are there any recommended modifications to ensure reliable operation?

I have attached my schematic for your review.

Thank you for your time and technical support.

Best regards,
Li bin
