Hello USB experts
I have the following question:
We want to build a USB3 device which for some reason has its USB3 connector not on the same PCB than the USB3 device controller.
The boards will be connected using a (high speed ?) board to board connector.
To compensate for the loss in signal quality we thought about adding a USB3 redriver just nearby to the USB3 connector.
In the documentation of the SN65LVPE502A i found no references for such a scenario.
Is it possible to use the SN65LVPE502A within a USB3 device ?
What happens when the host would also use a SN65LVPE502A ?
I ask this question because i tested with two SN65LVPE502CPEVM in series and the USB3 link never worked this way.
