Since USB 3.0 is dual simplex, is the TUSB8040 able to access two devices concurrently? For example out to device one on the output simplex pair and in from device two on the input simplex pair.

The SuperSpeed portion of the USB 3.0 bus is full duplex, the High / Full / Low speed portion of the USB 3.0 bus is half duplex, and the USB spec requires all three sets of differential pairs to be connected to the same device.
