DS90UB913/914 power over cable

Hi,

1)DS90UB913A/91A4 power over cable,EVM use 5V, if modify the circuit to use 12V, have any risk?

2) For truck rear view application, request 25m, DS90UB913 datasheet mension driving up to 25 meters shielded twisted-pair. could you give me shielded twisted-pair supplier and model name?

Hi Jeff,

1 ) Although the EVMs do not support 12V Power-over-coax, the same conception applies. The power feed requires 2 inductor regardless of the input voltage supply. The inductors work by impeding current flow, not through voltage induction. So only thing to be aware is the max power consumption at 12V does not exceed the current rating of the inductors and also meets the impedance targets.

2 ) The 25m results were achieved using Rosenberger HSD connectors and LEONI Dacar 538 cable.
