ONET1191P Limiting Amplifier Output

Hi,

I'm currently using the ONET1191P Limiting Amplifier with the schematics as shown below.

With a 200mV differential input, I get about 650mV to 680mV differential output, which is close to typical value of 700mV as specified in the specsheet.

My question is, the specsheet specifies a maximum output of 900mV. Is there a specific method to achieve this output? Lets just say that the 200mV difference is significant for my application.

    Nasri,

    The 900mVpp maximum takes into account variation over voltage, temperature and process corners. Therefore, it is referring to the maximum possible that may be found in a very large distribution of parts. It is not a value that is typically within a normal distribution of parts.

    If you have an I2C bus available then the ONET1151M can provide higher output voltage (3Vpp differential) into a 100ohm differential load. You can control the output amplitude through the I2C or with an analog voltage.
