DS100MB203 / about output muted

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS100MB203EVK

Hi,

When D_IN0 connects to S_OUTB0, what voltage does S_OUTA0 output ? What is the condition of IDLE/output muted ?

Best Regards,

Kato

  • Hi Kato-san,

I connected D_IN0 to S_OUTB0 and measured the output at S_OUTA0 when only S_OUTB is enabled on our DS100MB203EVK. The DC offset voltage on the inactive S_OUTA0+/- pins are approximately 1.8V. There is no AC signal on the line because the output is in IDLE. When the output is active (for example, S_OUTB0 in this case), I measured a DC offset voltage of approximately 1.2V.

The outputs can become IDLE either when the assert threshold is not met on the input or when the output is not enabled (pins 22, 23, 26 or Reg 0x5E-0x5F).

    Thanks,

    Michael
