We are building up a custom board that uses the TUSB8040A1. Currently on our prototype boards we just got in, none of the 8040A1 are running. What that means is that windows does not see the design on the USB bus.
Design is based on the reference EVM schematics.
Crystal oscillating at 24mhz
GRSTz = 3.3V (has 1uF cap on it to gnd)
USB_VBUS = 500mV
GANGED 4.7k to gnd
SMBUSz floating
NO I2C components attached
V1P1 = 1.08V
V3P3 = 3.28V
PWRONz0,1,2,3 pulled up 4.7K 3.3V
OVERCUR0,1,2,3z go to TPS2560DRC chips
We get no response from the embedded PC when attaching the hub.
I have the SS/HS and associated suspend lines floating, however on one board we tied leds and 1K resistor to gnd to see if HS or SS light up.
