SN65LVPE512, is there power up sequence?

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: SN65LVPE512

Dear Specialists,

My customer is evaluating SN65LVPE512 for device side.

It couldn't be established Rx compliance test.

Could you please see following and advise his question.

Question Are there power up sequence between receive signal and power.

If SN65LVPE512 is used for device,  signal is usually received before power up.

He thinks this condition may cause the problem.

I appreciate your great help.

Best regards,

Shinichi

  • Hello Shinichi,

The customer is right, this device is intended to be in the Host side, what I could recommend is to use the SN65LVPE502B instead of 512. It is almost pin compatible (just a few changes on the configuration pins) and it is intended to be in the device side.

It is also possible to try a re-connection by means of a re-start of the device after VBUS is detected, however this solution is device dependent and it might not work on all the devices.

    Regards,
    Diego.
