Ibis model of DS92LV0411 and DS92LV0412, how to use de-emphasis and equalization.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS92LV0412, DS92LV0411

Dear Specialists

My customer is simulating DS92LV0411 and DS92LV0412 by using ibis model .

He wants to know how to use de-emphasis and qualization ibis-model .

Is it possible?

If possible, could you please tell the way?

I appreciate your great help.

Best regards,

Shinichi

  • Hi Shinichi-san,

Unfortunately, the IBIS models only model the behavior of the parallel pins, SMBus pins, and other control logic pins on the DS92LV0411 and DS92LV0412. During the time of release, the design team chose not to implement the high-speed CML channels, so you will not be able to model the de-emphasis and equalization with these IBIS models.

We have tried in the past, but there are no resources available to support a new IBIS or IBIS-AMI implementation of these models. The best way I can think of to test out the de-emphasis and equalization features of the DS92LV0411/DS92LV0412 chipset is to acquire the eval modules. Please reference the LV04EVK01 Evaluation Kit.

    Thanks,

    Michael

  • Dear Michael

    Thank you for your reply.

    I understand the situation.

I'll feedback the customer de-emphasis and equalization are not available.

Also, I recommend to test LV04EVK.

    I appreciate your great help.

    Best regards,

    Shinichi
