TPS65986 - Is there an integrated USB 2.0 data mux the same as '982, or some type of lesser-featured mux?

Hello,

Does TPS65986 have the same integrated USB 2.0 data mux as TPS65982? Or does the mux inside '986 have less features / capabilities (and if so, what are those differences)?

I've been trying to compare the two datasheets, and the front page features seem to indicate '986 doesn't have the same mux, but it's not clear looking at later sections like 8.3.4 USB Type-C Port Data Multiplexer.

Hi Jonathan,

The muxes are not identical. The TPS65986 does not have the muxing for Thunderbolt (LSTX to SBU), which means that it can be only used in either USB2 or DP/USB3 systems.
