Hola,

It's blurry specify to defined the frequency and distance in data sheet and this will causes that we cannot evaluate our transmit and receive distance！

Can anyone help to provide equations or cables for our reference to calculate T/R distance？

We are now to use RG58 cable and the transmission rate is under 1.25G, we don't know how long distance that we can transmit and receive！

Can someone help on this？ Very thanks ～

There is some variation in stated attenuation characteristics for RG58 cables. Using an approximate number like -15dB @ 750 MHz / 100ft of cable. Would allow a maximum cable distance of 200 ft using RG58 cable and the DS15BA101 - DS15EA101 at 1.5 Gbps. The DS15EA101 can compensate for a maximum of ~ 30 dB loss at 1.5 Gbps datarate.

Thank you for your prompt reply, because of RG58 is consigned by our customer so we need pre-plan and evaluate the cable's layout to avoid cannot receive

the signal. Is there any equations for these different cable spec.？ Thank you very much ～

Hi Jacky,

I do not have specific equations for many cable types, just typical attenuation numbers. The best reference for the cable in question will come from the cable supplier. The customer should be able to contact the cable supplier to get specific information about the RG58 cable supplied to this application.
