Please provide a pinout description for the SN75155 part.  There is not one on the datasheet and the letters are not very intuitive

Can you also provide a typical circuit schematic on how it connects to RS-232 port

    Eduardo,

    1 VCC- needs a -12V power supply
    2 DA is a TLL input for the RS-232 driver
    3 RY is a TLL output for the RS-232 receiver
    4 GND connects to ground
    5 RA is the RS-232 receiver input
    6 RTC is the receiver threshold control pin, just leave it unconnected.
    7 DY is the RS-232 driver output
    8 VCC+ need a +12V power supply
