Hi Team,
TPS8S009 has optional VCC connection pin.
May I know, what is the purpose of this pin and when do we need VCC connection for ESD device in general case?
Thanks a lot!
Andrew

Andrew-
Apologies for the delay, I had to check with a few members of our design team to make sure I had a complete answer for you.
Applying a voltage to Vcc lowers the line capacitance by .1-.15pF on this device, helping to preserve signal integrity. If you are working with very high speed signals (>1Gbps), it would be good to use a Vcc voltage at your max signal swing, but below 1Gbps you should be fine to leave Vcc floating. Physically what is happening is that you are adding a voltage bias over the diode, which lowers the capacitance that is inherent to the diode.
Let me know if your customer has any further questions or if I can support this design any further!
Thanks,
Alec
