DS15BA101 input biasing requirement

Dear Sir,

Regarding DS15BA101, our customer would like to know whether voltage biasing is required to the CML input or not. They use AC-coupling caps on the input. According to the datasheet(SNLS234J), the input signals seem to be self-biased at 2.1V with Vcc = 3.3V, so voltage biasing may not be required. We would like to confirm. Your kind advice would be appreciated.

Sorry for the delay in response as we have been out of the office for the US Thanksgiving holiday last week.

You are correct. The DS15BA101 is self-biased internally, so you will not need to provide an external bias if the input is AC coupled.
