I need to insert data into the VANC space of an HD-SDI stream of varying video formats, and it is required to be in the "Y" channel.

I was investigating the LMH0030 to do this with, however it does not seem capable of inserting ancillary data for HD-SDI video.

(Page 15 of the datasheet)

Is there a comparable device available which can insert ancillary data for HD-SDI? (SMPTE 292M)

    Hi Martin,

    The LMH0030 is able to insert parallel ancillary data into the stream long with SMPTE video data input. The LMH0030 assumes that ancillary data in the HANC and VANC areas are provided on the AD[9:0] port so that it can be inserted into the serial component stream. Are you looking for a different function?
