TPS65982-EVM: Host Interface Tools (Connection Error)

Part Number: TPS65982-EVM

Hi,

I'm having difficulties connecting the TPS65982-EVM to the Host Interface Tools using the AardVark I2C/SPI Host Adapter. I have installed the required drivers and I'm able to connect via Total Phase Flash Center (SPI). Here's the error:

Thoughts?

Hi Leo,

Are you able to use the I2C Scanner to read the I2C address of the device? I would expect the address of a TPS65982-EVM to be 0x38 in most cases. Also, please ensure your Aardvark is connected to the correct pins on the TPS65982-EVM. Figure 23 of the TPS6598x Application-Customization Tool User Guide: www.ti.com/.../slvuar8a.pdf shows how to do this.

Thanks for the quick response Eric,

No on the I2C Scanner. It stays at the "Beginning Scan" stage permanently. Yes, I have the right connection between the Aardvark and EVM.

Please confirm that you followed step 7 of section 3.1 of the TPS6598x Application-Customization Tool User Guide:

I attached an image containing the step for your reference:

This will resolve that issue and allow you to use the Aardvark.
