SN75976A: About mode setting...

Dear Sirs,

I had confused about the mode setting of SN75976A.

While in transceiver mode, can I just change DE pin to set as driver / receiver or there are still some pins need to be set? (page18 in datasheet)

    Hi Peter,

    The SN75976A is new to me but I think I figured out the mode selection. For transceiver mode (BSR, CDE0, CDE1, CDE2, /CRE) = (0,1,0,0,0). If these pins are set accordingly toggling the 1DE/RE to 9DE/RE pins should enable and disable the drivers and receivers for the selected channel. /RE low enables the receive function will DE high enables the transmit function. Are you seeing different behavior than this during testing?
