Hi team,

My customer has following questions and request.

(1) Can LMH0366 be replaced with LMH1226?

    LMH1226 needs to support SD-SDI/HD-SDI(1.485Gbps) and 3G-SDI(2.97Gb/s).

(2) Can LMH1226 support 12G-SDI(11.88Gb/s)?

(3) If LMH0366 can be replaced with LMH1226, I wants to get LMH0366 detailed datasheets.
 
The functions differ slightly between  LMH0366 and LMH1226, but in the basic part,
can the customer replace LMH0366  with LMH1226?

Please let me know the answers.

    Greetings Nakano-San,

    LMH1226 locks to 11.88Gbps and lower SMPTE data rates ( indcluding SMPTE data rates supported by LMH0366). Additionally LMH1226 can lock to 10GbE as well.

    On the other hand, LMH0366 locks to SMPTE 2.97Gbps and lower data rates only.

    In summary, you can replace LMH0366 with LMH1226 and customer would get much more functionality. Please note these two devices are not pin compatible with one another so your customer must design a new board to support LMH1226. It could also help if you could please let us know what is the application or a block diagram so we can comment further.
