TCA9548A: Thermal Pad connection

The VQFN variant of the TCA9548A (TCA9548ARGER) has a thermal pad. I cannot find in the datasheet what the thermal pad must be connected to:

GND?

Floating?

Hello Gavin,

The pad is thermally connected but not electrically connected. We generally recommend connecting it to ground because is has the least amount of thermal resistance and the most amount of thermal mass.
