TPS65982: Type-C adapter can't charge Notebook with TPS65982 type-C controller

My customer is using TI TPS65982 in their Thunderbolt interface Notebook, now customer find that if insert type-C adapter and apple type-C docking , the type-C adapter can't charge for Notebook. if remove apple Type-C docking , only Type-c adapter insert to notebook with TI TPS65982, The Type-C Adapter can charge for Notebook, could you let us the reason, Great Thanks.

Hi Jerry,

A few questions.

Did this start happening after you updated the firmware on the TPS65982? Did it work previously? Could you share the project file for the firmware generated for the TPS65982?

Could you let us know what Intel reference design was used for the Thunderbolt Notebook?

Would it be possible to get a PD trace along with a scope plot of VBUS and the CC line when the failure occurs?
