HI ,
I an in need to convert HDMI / DVI to HD-SDI or 3G SDI .
Does texas have solution ? I see most solutions are based on FPGA .
Can i use LMH0340 to convert HDMI/DVI to SDI ?
Thanks

Hi Murugan,
TI does not have a single-chip IC solution to convert HDMI/DVI to SDI format. This is typically only done with an FPGA. The LMH0340 does not convert HDMI/DVI to SDI. Instead, it takes an LVDS DDR signal coming from an FPGA (different compared to HDMI TMDS signals) and converts to SDI. In this case, HDMI would still need to be handled by the FPGA, and then the FPGA outputs an LVDS DDR signal to the LMH0340, after which it is converted to SDI.
Thanks,
Michael
HI Nazeer / Micheal ,
Thank you for your replies.
I could see Some IP codes supported by TI , but details are very clear about it usage , A small App note on the HDMI to SDI implementation using LMH0340 would have been helpful .
I will check with Xilinx Vendor.
Thanks Again.

Murugan
