HD3SS212: What is the difference between positive signal channel and negative signal channel?

Dear team,

Customer wonder if there are some special design inside positive signal channel and negative signal channel?  How about customer switch the signal between those two channel? I could not see any difference from datasheet. There is just a passive switch inside. 

Also, any different design inside A0,A1 channel? Could customer also switch the signal between A0 and A1?

This question both ask for HD3SS212,HD3SS3212 and TS5USBC400.
