Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TS3USBCA4
Hi Team,
My customer is now using our TS3USB221 and is asking for a 4-channel input (4:1 and 1:4) alternative.
Do you have any recommendation?
Thanks!

Roy,
We do not have a dedicated USB 2.0 (4:1) mux available. I think the best option here is the TS3USBCA420. It is (4:1) bi-directional mux and designed for USB Type-C side-band switching. It is controlled by I2C and may have lower bandwidth on the LnX channels for USB High-Speed. This part will RTM in July. Here is the link to the product page http://www.ti.com/product/TS3USBCA4
Thanks,

Hi Andrew,
I have submitted the request. Please help process it!
Thanks!

Hi Andrew,
Seems like the TS3USBCA420 can only support up to 3 channels of high speed signal ( 500 MHz). I think the MIC_GND1 and MIC_GND2 are for low speed signals (audio).
Is my understanding correct?
Thanks!
Roy Hsu
Roy,
The MIC_Ground channel is designed for audio, but it actually has better bandwidth than the Ln channels because of it's lower Ron. I believe the datasheet specifies that channel to have a typical -3dB bandwidth of 630 MHz.

Hi Andrew,
I couldn't find the information you mentioned about. Could you point out which page it is?
Thanks!

Roy,
The RON_AUDIO and BWAUDIO. parameters are near the top of page 7. In section 6.5 of the datasheet.

Hi Andrew,
The datasheet I downloaded from the MySecureSoftware page does not have Section 6.5. It jumps into Section 7 right after 6.1.
Could you please send me the one you got?
Thanks!
