LMH0307: Fault w/ no input?

Hello,

Does the LMH0307 need a valid SDI input signal in order to detect a termination fault condition?  Can we detect a termination fault if there is no SDI signal?

    Hi Ryan,

    LMH0307 does not know if the incoming data pattern is either SDI or non-SDI - pattern agonistic. On 75-ohm cable driver electrical interface it is SDI or SMPTE compatible.

    One more point, LMH0307 can detect termination fault even when we are not using SMPTE or SDI data pattern. However, please note there must be a signal on 100-ohm input else the device does not have the capability to detect termination fault when there is no input.
