Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TUSB422, AM5728, TUSB321, TUSB320
Hello,
In our design, power requirement is 25-30 W and we want to power our board up using any 30 W adapter with USB type C connector. Our board will have USB type C receptacle to connect this external adapter. The power coming from this connector will give power to the board as well as will charge the battery present in our design (which will basically act as a SINK). So,we are planning to use TUSB422 in our design. Now my question is,
1.Is TUSB422 necessary in our design or can we connect our board directly to the VBUS signal of the receptacle?
2.Can TUSB422 be used with TI's AM5728 processor?
3.As shown in ''fig.no.76 TUSB in DRP application'' of attached PDF, can we connect VBUS (in red) to our board's supply
rail, so that our board will be powered up as well as battery will be charged?
Thanks for reading.
