TPS2064C: TPS2064C Ios Current-limit

Part Number: TPS2064C

1.Should the OCP point of TPS2064CDGNR be the minimum or the maximum?

2.Why is the Current-limit defined in the specification different?

4.As shown in the schematic diagram of USB3.0 circuit, 0.9*2 has already reached 1.8a. Is there any risk of low OCP?

5.Is there any test report that can be provided?Thank you very much!

  • Hi, Jingang,

    1. The OCP point should be close to typical, and shouldn't be lower than minimum and higher than maximum. During our production, we test a lot of part at different conditions(Vin, load, temp...) to get min and max value. The result is normal distribution, so most of part is close to typical value.
    2. First table Ta=25deg, second table Ta is from -40deg to 125deg.
    4. It's okay. 1.5A rated current is for each channel individual.
    5. Sorry, most test report is for TI internal only, I don't have a report of this part for customer.

Thank you for your interest on our part. Please feel free to ask if any questions.

    Regards,
    Bob
