HD3SS3415: PCIE 3.0 switch requirement

Hi,

We are having requirement to expend 6 group of (PCIex1 (GEN3)) to 28 group which include 16* GIGALAN, 10* PCIex1 and 2 PCI interface.

Can you help to recommend proper product?

There are some questions:

1. if using GEN2, what is the limitation?

2. what is the amount of bandwidth reduce?

1. There is no limitation to use this in a GEN2 PCIe application. The datarate is lower at 5 Gbps and the HD3SS3415 attenuation is also lower.

2. I would expect less than -1 dB of attenuation through the switch at 5 Gbps (2.5 GHz).

I'm not sure I completely understand the application to go from 6 groups to 28 groups - do you have a picture to better show the architecture?

TI does not make this type of a PCIe switch product.
