SN65LBC173A: About fail safe function

Hi support team,

When differential input (VID) is "OPEN" under the condition of Enable G = X and Gn = L, will OUTPUT Y become 'H'?
The condition of that combination is not described in the Function Table of SN65LBC173A data sheet.

Tachibana,

You're right. When input is open, the internal pull up and pull down generates a differential offset (larger than Vit+). Therefore with Gn=L, the output would be H.
