TRS3221: The capacitor selection of TRS3221

Hi,

My customer is using TRS3221 now, they want to know what's the withstand voltage requirement for the caps used on TRS3221 and what about the tolerance. Can you tell the withstand voltage and tolerance for C1,C2,C3 and C4 ?

    Hello Lenna,

    The maximum voltage across these capacitors is 2 * VCC, so the rating of the capacitor should be at least that high (plus some margin). The tolerance is not all that critical since the circuit will operate with a variety of capacitance values, there will just be slightly different amplitudes and frequency of ripple on the V+ and V- rails that are generated. Capacitors with 10% tolerance will work.
