Part Number: MAX3223E

Hi, I'm using MAX3223E as transceiver to debug Uart port and serial application used is TeraTerm or Putty. Issue seen is, after 15-20 minute serial application(Teraterm) is getting hang, it needs restart to get the prints again & its same on difference PCs( from which we could conclude that board is driving it to some undefined state & causing it to hung). So, it would be great help, if the reason & solution is suggested!.

    Hi Vidya,

    Do you just need to restart the application in order to resolve the issue, or do you need to power cycle the transceiver?

    When the issue occurs, is there any way you could probe the input and output pins of the MAX3223E to make sure that the device is active and that each output matches its corresponding input state? If an issue is observed there then we could debug it further; if not, this may be more of an application-level issue.

    If you could share a schematic showing how the MAX3223E is used it may help as well.
