SN75LVDS82: RGB565

Hi Team,

The LCD screen used by customers is RGB565. Customers want to use SN75LVDS82 for RGB to LVDS. Does SN75LVDS82 support RGB565? If so, is the order of connections shown below correct?The red X is disconnected.left them open.

    Hello Amy,

    For RGB565 the bits used should be the high bits from RGB888:

    R Bits: Red7-3

    G Bits: Green7-2

    B Bits: Blue7-3

    SN75LVDS82 should be able to support it if you connect only those bits. Which bits map to which pins depends on the input format used by your LVDS source.
