TPS65987DDJ: TPS65987 Miscellaneous config I2C voltage setting

Part Number: TPS65987DDJ

Hi team,

In TPS65987DDJ (using GUI version 5.20 or 5.21), There is "Miscellaneous configuration 0x2b" with the I2C votlage level setting (see left picture) whereas when selecting TPS65987DDH, this register was not shown (right picture).

  1. So, in the earlier GUI or device, what is the default setting of the I2C voltage level connected to?
  2. What is the differences between connecting to "LDO_3V3" vs "VDD_IO"?

  •  Hi Sai,

The defaults were the fixed voltage value LDO_3V3. As far as the difference between the two voltages, LDO_3V3 is sourced from an internal LDO and is a fixed voltage value of 3.3V while the VDD_IO can be either 1.8V or 3.3V depending on the voltage that's provided on the physical VDD_IO pin on the chip.

    Thank you,

    Hari
