TCAN334G: standby mode

Hi Team,

For our customer's application, they need the system can be woke up from standby by external wake up signal.

But after CAN entering standby mode and input a external CAN ID parameter to wake it up, the MCU can not receive data through CAN transceiver's RXD.

 After checking with datasheet below:

Can I say that, when CAN Transceiver is in standby mode, we must input a external pattern like that, then can get a low pulse from RXD?

    You are correct - this device implements the wake-up pattern detection mechanism defined in the latest CAN physical layer specification (ISO 11898).  Requiring the special pattern helps to prevent the node from waking up mistakenly when noise is present on the bus.

    Note, though, that in some cases normal CAN frames could still qualify as this wake-up pattern.  Each frame would have a dominant/recessive/dominant bit pattern at some point, and since the maximum tWK_FILTER value for this transceiver is 4 us any CAN data at a bit rate of 250 kbps should qualify.  So, if it is difficult to generate the wake-up pattern you might consider lowering the arbitration bit rate to 250 kbps instead.
