TPIC8101EVM: Issue with INT/HOLD signal and center frequency selection

Part Number: TPIC8101EVM

Hello,

I have the TPIC8101EVM board and i have been trying to get it to generate a signal for certain frequencies. But the board does not generate any INT/HOLD signal even when i program the GUI according to the instructions.

Also i'm concerned about the bandwidth of the bandpass filter, even when i set a high center frequency, it passes smaller frequencies as well. The output does not reflect the changes made in the GUI. Could someone help me with this?

  • Hi Amrita,

We have received your question. I need some time to look into this. I should be able to respond by next week.

Meanwhile, please confirm that you are able to force INT/HOLD signal from a function generator.

    Thanks

    Sharath.

  • Hi Sharath,

I am able to implement the INT/HOLD signal when it is generated separately and given as an input to the INT/HOLD pin.

I do have a time constraint with my project, so if you could please respond sooner that would be really helpful.

    Thanking you,

    Amrita

  • Hi Amrita,

I can confirm the same, that the microcontroller on the board is not generating INT/HOLD signal to the device. This requires a firmware change. This is a very old device and I have started recently supporting this device and i dont have the source code of the firmware. We will not be able to fulfull the request in coming few months. Sorry for the inconvenience.

    Regards

    sharath.
