DS90UB947-Q1: FPD-LINK III coupling capacitor

Hi Team,

We have noticed that both the FPD Link III true and inverting outputs of the DS90UB947-Q1EVM has 0.1µF capacitor values. The datasheet recommends this to be 0.033µF (for true) and 0.015µF (for inverting).

Is there a defined reason for the capacitor values in the EVM?

Hello Jejomar,

The diagram you are referring to in the datasheet is for Coax configuration. In STP configuration the AC coupling caps for true and inverting signals are the same value. The EVM is set up for STP configuration.
