DS90UB941AS-Q1: column display is abnormal

Dear team,

SOC connected to 941 with dual DSI, deserial string is 948, 1920*720*60. the image is as below picture, looks like the lack of 1/2 column (there is a gap between the column and column, it seems that there is a missing column).

The customer setting 0x4F = 0x4C(Dual DSI, 4 lanes). PCLK=51MHz, DSI frequency is 165MHz.

When they read register, they found that there are two registers which are abnormal. Read 941 0x0C = 0x67, 0x5A = C9. And 0x5D=0x06.

Could you please help analyze this problem?

Hi Sherry,

It looks like there are some errors coming from the DSI. Is it possible for you to hook your DSI source to an analyzer? Also are you intentionally using discontinuous clocking? What DSI mode are you using (burst/non burst/sync event/sync pulse)?

Hi Sally,

When the customer changes to signal DSI input, the fault disappears. But 0x0C and 0X5A registers still report error.(0X0C=0X67, 0X5A=0XC9)

Could you please help analyze this problem?

In addition to above two register, there are below registers reporting error.(Only port 0 report error, port 1 didn't report error)

0X00=0X00

0x0F=0X3F

0X10=0X10

0X11=0X10

0X12=0X10

0X13=0X10

0X14=0X00(normal)

0X15=0X00(normal)

0X22=0XFF(normal)

0X23=0X7F(normal)

0X28=0X05

0X2B=0X87

0X2C=0X00(normal)

0X2D=0X02

Hi Sherry,

Did you clear the errors before switching and reading the error registers again?

Hi sally,

Yes, I let them follow the initialization on the datasheet, and reset the register before writing, and then It works. Because he wrote a wrong register.
