Hi Team,

My customer wants to use the Type-C port to transmit the HDMI(Source) video which can be connected to the monitors in the market with Type-C port, however, most of the monitors in the market only receives DP signal.

The app note "Enabling HDMI over USB Type-C using TUSB546A-DCI" shows how to design HDMI(Source) over Type-C, if designed like this, my questions are:

1. Can it work well when connected to the monitors with Type-C port receiving DP signal? The app note is to design HDMI over Type-C, the HDMI and the DP protocols are not the same, so it may not work.

2. If the answer for item 1 is no, should customer convert HDMI to DP and then design the DP over Type-C? STDP2600 is HDMI1.4 only, do you happen to know if there is HDMI2.0 to DP converter?
