Hi Team,

When my customer does the TC8 especially IOP test, they failed in Link-up/Signal Quality/Cable diagnostics.

I know our device level has passed IOP and I also read ourDP83TC811s-Q1 IOP report.

But I need to help customer to pass their system level IOP pass.

Could you please give some advice? Many thanks in advance!

App note SNLA 293 referred to in the DP83TC811 datasheet can be used to help pass IOP tests. Please email me directly to confirm that the app note can be shared under NDA.

Thanks! I have this document and sent to customer who under the NDA.

My question is what the reason may be if customer fail in link-up time and SQI?

What does the register setting in SNLA 293 use for?

I don't understand clearly why link-up time and SQI could be solved after the register setting...

Hi Amelie,

The register settings used to pass the functionality, IOP, and EMI/EMC tests in snla 293 are used to configure the transmitter and receiver as well as other blocks of the device, like PMA that are needed to pass the tests specified in the app note.
