Hi, I'm trying to get an idea of how the SN65LVDS9637 output would interface with an i2c bus. In particular, I want to know if it can handle the acknowledge bit from an i2c slave device. The SN65LVDS9637 has an output fail safe. So assuming the output is held hi when the acknowledgement is made by the slave device , is the output fail safe an open collector output and the current drawn from the acknowledgement bit is set by the external pull up resistor of the I2C line?
