SN65LVDS822: The difference between SN65LVDS822 and DS90CF384A

Part Number: SN65LVDS822
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: DS90CF364A,

Hi,

My customer is looking for LVDS to RGB bridge. SN65LVDS822 and DS90CF364A look meeting her target. What's difference between these two parts?

how do I estimate the power consumption based on below condifiton?

Customer SOC spec.:

Our SoC has LCM interface eDP or LVDS, but our LCM interface is MIPI-DSI or RGB.

RGB: 8 bits resolution, 800*480, 30 frame

  • Hi Alan,

Those two parts are very similar . one of the main differences i can see is that the DS90CF364A can accommodate higher Pixel clocks. which it looks like you do not need. you should also compare the power consumption of each device to select which device you should use. you can find these numbers in the "RECEIVER SUPPLY CURRENT" or "Power Supply Characteristics" of both datasheets.

your pixel clock is going to be 800*400*30 = 11520000 or 11.52MHz

    Regards,
