TCAN4550-Q1: Compatibility CAN2.0A and CAN2.0B - ID Filtering

Hi,

We have to interface with a CAN bus, this is a quite new thing for us.
Our application needs to filter some ID from a bus compatible with CAN2.0A or CAN2.0B.
Does this component support CAN FD which should contain both CAN2.0A or CAN2.0B?
Should this component autonomously filter specific ID in order to free resources in MCU load?

    Marco,

    First, yes the TCAN4550-Q1 is compatible with CAN2.0A and CAN2.0B protocol versions, and it supports CAN FD. And yes, the controller portion can be configured with an ID and mask so that messages are filtered from the CAN bus into a memory space, then the MCU is notified and can retrieve the messages from memory.
