Hi,
Could you please recommend a chip which supports RGB16bit or RGB565 to 4 Lane LVDS? Does the SN75LVDS83B support this function? The LVDS signal outputs to LCD.
Thanks.

Hello
Please use this part ds90c189
Thanks
Vijay
Hi Vijay,
Thank you for rely. The chip ds90c189 supports RGB888. But my input signal is RGB565. My question is that: how to connect RGB565 to RGB888? How to handle the more pins?
Thanks.
Kevin Xiong
You can ground the unused inputs TTL or LVCMOS inputs.
We support and test 24 bit or 18 bit or even 12 bit cases (SN75LVDS83B) but you need to ensure your panel can support that .
Thanks
Vijay
Hi Vijay,
The RGB888 has R0, R1, ..., R7, and the RGB565 has R0, R1, ..., R4. Should I ground R0,R1,R2 or R5,R6,R7? Is there any guide document for this application?
Thanks.
Kevin Xiong
Kevin
Yes, you can ground the unused inputs. There is no guide or document for this type of use-case as this is not something we have come across
Thanks
