SN75LVDS84A: SN75LVDS84AQDGG: About esd protection under HOT Swap

Hi TI Expert,

We are using SN75LVDS84AQDGG. In the production process, hot swap and plugging are inevitable, which is easy to damage IC, and the proportion is about 10%.

At present, WE have tried ESD protection, the model is AZ1045-04F, and the package is DFN2510P10E, but the effect is not good.

Could you help to deal with this difficult problem or give some advice?

    Hi Cyan,

    Let me try to reiterate the issue. Basically, you observed that hot swap caused the IC damaged with or without ESD diode protection. When you swap the connection, where do you observe from graphic controller to SN75LVDS84A or from SN75LVDS84A to display? Could you please provide me a specific what you meant IC damaged? What is the symptom? In other word, what is not working?
