Part Number: TPD2E2U06

I am using TPD2E2U06DRLR for protect USB application and schematic as show below

and the layout example as show below

as show in the FIG 12 Pin 2 and 5 is connecting but in the table as show below

as show in the table Pin 2 is not connected and is left floating, grounded , or connected to VCC

Please tell me how to use it correctly ?

Hi Hanh,

Welcome to E2E!

In the layout example the electrical connections must be done at Pin 3 and Pin 5 of the TPD2E2U06:

Since pin 2 is not internally connected it can be used for straight through routing. For that reason the trace connected to Pin 5(IO2) passes through pin 2 in the layout example.

For this device please follow the layout examples and make sure the IO signal lines connect to Pin 3 and Pin 5.

Hi Hanh,

The layout looks correct. One signal line is using the IO protection channel provided from PIN 3 and the other from PIN5. Looks good.
